Advantages and disadvantages of the animation program at outdoor school

This work focuses on the issue of animation program in outdoor schools, its advantages and disadvantages for teachers. The theoretical part is devoted to defining the concept of school stay in nature and related experiential pedagogy and nature education. It also deals with legislation associated with the responsibility of school and teachers when students stay in nature. The work deals with the animation program, its organization, directions and importance. It analyzes the pedagogical psychological aspects of the animation program. It briefly describes the child in a foreign environment, his motivation and personal development in a foreign environment. The empirical part monitors the advantages and disadvantages of the animation program, expectations and benefits for teachers, students and their team. The interview also discusses the climate in the classroom and raises the issue of early interventions in the field of bullying. The main goal of my diploma thesis is to find out what advantages and disadvantages the animation program at the school in nature represents. In theoretical part, the school class is described as a social group, next, the theory of social groups is explained in this part. Then, the issue of school class climate and its structure is outlined. Because the school class is changing as the student are getting older and developing, there is situated a chapter focused on this issue in the theoretical part. The thesis is focused on summer programmes for field trips for primary school pupils. The theoretical part of the thesis contains important information about the organisation of the field trips and ideas for activities for this stay. In the practical part, I find out whether schools in the Czech Republic organize the field trips and the way of the realization. Then, in the practical part, I realize my own one-week project.
Organization of a long-term school trip

This thesis deals with organization of a long-term school trip, which means organization of a sojourn for primary school pupils in surrounding which is beneficial to pupils' health while their education is not interrupted. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on those law regulations, which have to be followed in the process of organizing a long-term school trip and during the time the event is taking place. Basic concepts dealing with the organization of a long-term school trip are also defined in the theoretical part of this thesis. The practical part of this thesis is based on collecting data through a survey and dialogues with teachers. The aim of the survey and those dialogues is to find out the interest of primary school teachers who teach at schools located in Prague 1 and in Prague 2 in organizing a long- term school trip and to detect their experience which they have acquired by organizing long- school trips. Leisure activities for primary school children at a school camp Barbora Čopíková Abstract This diploma thesis is focusing on problematics of games and other activities at a school camp for primary school children. Theoretical part of this diploma thesis describes the age of primary school children and their physical, psychical, social a motor development. Another important part is about the concept of game and their specifics about their division, signs, rules, safety and meaning for primary school children. This part focuses on problematics of competition and leisure time, which mainly relate with the keyword game. There is also included organizing of a school camp a its health, social and educational meaning. Part of thesis is dedicated to meaning of a school camp for teachers and camp counsellors. Another part of this diploma thesis is collection of games and other activities. The research is based on this collection and is focused on finding out how pupils and counsellors think about games at a school camp and how they reflect this collection. The research part contains results of my survey a its interpretation. The results of this survey are described in pie and bar charts. The goal of this new program is more efficient use of time during open air schools with focus on development of abilities, skills, physical and psychical strength, communication among children and social interaction. Methods: In this thesis will be used quantitative research method, written questioning method. Acquired data analysis will be used as background for development of outdoor program for open air schools for children groups within age 6 to 10. Nature field trip from a teacher's point of view

Thesis is focused on all aspects of having pupils of a younger school age participating in a nature field trip, as percieved from a teacher's point of view. The theory section concentrates on the definition of basic terms on given issues, legislation and organisation of the nature field trip. The practical part is formed of a questionnaire section and a discussion with the aim to find out whether schools in the Czech Republic organise these trips and if so, what experiences teachers come across. If not, what reasons let them to that decision. The object of the thesis is to analyse the outcome of the inquiry and to summarise the benefits and disadvantages which emerge for teachers from such nature field trip. Both part sof the thesis highlight the challenges teachers are facing in thein profession not only during the preparation stages but also throughout the course of the nature field trip. Additionally the practical section features actual examples of previously completed trips, including the reflection of participating teachers.

The aim of the thesis is to determine games and actions used by outdoor schools and how they are reflected by both students and teachers. Base of the thesis is to create a collection of games for outdoor schools.
